FAQ
Can I run a DuraChill continuously under maximum load?
Under any situation requiring continuous operation, both we and PolyScience recommend that you don't run a chiller at more than 80% load. However, the 1.5 HP chiller over-performs its specifications somewhat, and could potentially be used continuously at maximum load so long as the operating conditions are favorable - essentially, that it is used in a clean, climate-controlled (not hot) environment.
What kind of coolant inlet / outlet connections do the 1.5 HP DuraChills have?
They have 1/2" female NPT connections. Two sets of Inlet/Outlet Adapters are included with purchase: ½ inch male NPT x ½ inch hose barb and ½ inch male NPT x 5/8 inch hose barb.
Do the DuraChill Chillers come on casters?
Yes, they all come with casters pre-installed.
